Drawing a horse head
Step 1:
Start the outline of the horse’s head by drawing the expressive eye of the horse. Describe the almond-shaped eye with curved lines. Shadow a circle in the mold to display the pupil. Note the contours of the short lines above the eye. Then use curved lines to outline the face’s opposite side, including the forehead and orbit.
Step 2:
Describe the opposite eye with a curved line and shade a partial circle to display the pupil. Shape outside the eye with a sharp line. Then use a long curved line to draw the mouth of the horse. Note how the mouth overlaps with the side of the face and gives the drawing a three-dimensional appearance.
Step 3:
Use a long curved line to draw the horse’s lower lip and the curved jaw. Describe two curved shapes in the nose to display the nostrils.
Step 4:
The contours of the horse’s face in detail. Draw short lines around the nostrils and on the side of the face under the eye. Then draw the mane. Use short lines that meet points.
Step 5:
Draw the horse’s alarm tube upright. Use two curved lines that meet at a weak point. The contour in the ear with two additional curved lines. Then complete the Mähnbüschel that crosses between the ears with short lines that meet at jagged points.
Step 6:
Draw the remaining ear. Use again two curved lines that meet at a weak point and handle the interior with two other curved lines. Then stretch out a long curved line from the opposite ear to pull the graceful curve out of the horse’s neck.
Step 7:
Add your horse’s face by drawing the animal’s neck and body. Draw two lines under your head and cut the neck to complete the outline of the neck. Then draw your back and shoulders with curved lines.
Step 8:
The outline of your horse’s view is still missing his flowing mane! Draw a curved line along the neck to represent the hair when it grows out of the neck. Then stretch long curved lines to the opposite side of the head. Allow them to meet with strengths.
Step 9:
Complete the outline of your horse head by locking the rest of the long mane. Expand long, curved lines again and let them meet with strengths. Add the texture with additional curved lines.
Step 10:
