Learning how to draw sunglasses is a great way to create your custom designs! By the end of this tutorial, you’ll be ready to do just that! This step-by-step guide to drawing ideas for sunglasses will show you how to have fun creating your unique creations!
How to draw sunglasses? Let us Start:
Step 1
To begin this guide to drawing sunglasses, let’s start with the lens on the left side of the glasses. To do this, we drew a rounded triangle for the lens. Once you have this lens, you can use another curved line above it for the frame that the lens will be placed in.
Step 2
Now that you’ve started drawing the left side of your sunglasses, you can finish the frame in this tutorial step. To do this, use another curved line to create the bottom of the glasses frame, as shown in the reference image. This completes the left side of the sunglasses, and we’ll start with the rest of the sunglasses in the next few steps.
Step 3
So far, in this tutorial on how to draw sunglasses, you’ve drawn one side of the sunglasses, so drawing the right side should prove easier! This site will look quite similar to the lens on the left, but the angle will be slightly different this time. We’re not going to draw the top of the frame just yet, but we’ll draw it soon as we move on.
Step 4
In this fourth step of your sunglass design, you will finish the frame on the right lens and add the temple. First, use a few more curved lines to draw the top of the frame, as you see in our reference image. The next part of the glasses we will draw is called the temples that go over the ears to hold the glasses on your face. To draw this part of the sunglasses, draw straight lines that end up with curved lines.
Step 5
We will add the last points and elements of the glasses in this fifth step of our guide on drawing sunglasses. Once we’ve added the final part and any additional details you want, the final step is to colorize your drawing. First, we draw the second arm of the glasses. Because of the angle, this branch is slightly more curved than the other.
With this temple, the drawing is complete! However, before proceeding, you can add some details and elements that you may want. This is a phase where you can let your creativity run free, but we’ll also go through some ideas you could try.
We mentioned creating your themes earlier in this guide, and you can use what you’ve learned in this guide to customize and create your theme. If you have your favorite sunglasses, you can try to recreate them in this drawing. You can also add accessories or draw other objects next to the glasses. If you’re ambitious, you can even draw yourself with these sunglasses!
Step 6
In this last stage of your sunglasses sketching, you can complete them with unique colors! We used a nice red for the sunglasses’ framing and some shades of blue for the lenses. We chose this for our example, but now you can show us which of your favorite colors would work for this design.
Sunglasses come in many styles and color variations, giving you much freedom in colorizing this image. You can also experiment with different artistic tools and mediums to bring colors to life. Mediums such as acrylic paints and colored pencils allow you to create colors that pop off the page.
