The worldwide pandemic of Covid’19, the pandemic has left its effects on every industry. In the long list of those industries, the education industry is also present. Things are moving forward and society is adapting to the changes and showing progress. Every industry is taking its part in matching the current standards and must try to keep up the upgrades. The government tries its best to implement the changes and bring reforms into the education system. However, some critical issues are so deeply rooted that make it difficult to implement these reforms. The critical issues in the education industry must be sorted out before making new reforms.

Deficit Funding:
Lack of funding and not providing the educational institutions with proper resources is one of the major issues. An industry just cannot succeed without proper funding. Public schools are usually funded from local taxes and state funding, these schools as mostly underfunded. The teachers of public institutions have to teach the students with minimal resources. The schools that have low budgets. The performance of their students is not as good as when compared to the students of the school that have higher budgets. The teachers need proper resources to teach the children and give them opportunities to learn. Due to underfunding, there is a reduction in the achievement and dedication of a student.
Classroom Size:
Due to deficit funding, the low-budget schools are not able to afford teachers and the student-to-teacher ratio is not balanced. The number of students is increasing with every passing day and the teachers are unable to manage all of the students. There should be enough teachers to look at the progress and focus on each student. Teachers mostly do not get one-on-one time with the students. The students do not feel a connection with the teachers. They are unable to ask queries from them or communicate their issues with them. Due to this reason, the students do not have any guidance and they do not clearly understand the concepts.
Remote Learning:
After Covid’19, the schools find it better and much more convenient to collect assignments, take quizzes and assist students via online platforms. Although remote learning has contributed to too many positive changes and convenient aspects, there are also downsides. Many students fail to understand the concepts via online platforms. The students are not familiar with face-to-face classes and they do not know how to interact with other pupils. A learning gap is established.
Equity Concerns:
During the pandemic, the students coming from low-income families were unable to properly learn. There were critical issues like lack of internet service, electricity, and other resources. A student must need these resources to succeed academically. The specific needs of the students are at disadvantage and there are not equal opportunities for every student
Health and Safety of Students:
For students to achieve, progress, and focus on their studies, it is necessary that they must be physically and mentally fit. Such an environment should be created in which the student must feel safe and supported. The teachers, administration, and parents are required to create an environment in which the student feels confident and can concentrate on their studies.
Solutions:
The government must work towards solving these core issues first. These issues have infested the education system and the lives of innocent students. With the changing environment of society, the students can get help from technology. AI technology has provided the students with tutors. The tutors are computer operating. Every student gets fair attention and can ask queries. Technology has progressed so much and the students can use the internet and online services.
