The Mexico Consulate in Houston is one of fifty-four Embassies/Consulates spread across the United States to aid travelers to and from Mexico. The new location is located in the Westchase area, and it’s much bigger than its previous location. Learn More.

The larger facility allows the consulate to sponsor more events. It also helps to create stronger ties between Houston and Mexico.

Location

Located in the Westchase district, the Consulate of Mexico is an important part of Houston’s diverse international community. It serves its citizens by providing visa applications, passport renewals and document legalization. It also works with local businesses that are looking to build a presence in Mexico.

Alicia Kerber Palma has served as consul general of Mexico in Houston since 2021. She is a member of the Mexican diplomatic corps and has a vast understanding of the culture of her home country.

The new consulate is a 50,000-square-foot building with four floors and many areas to serve the public. It joins other embassies and consulates in the area, including the ones for Indonesia and the Philippines. To reach the consulate, you can take a bus or train from the downtown or Galleria area. Moovit’s live traffic data can help you find the fastest routes to your destination. It will also show you any delays or changes in schedules.

Services

The consulate offers a variety of services for Mexicans in the United States. For example, the consulate helps Mexicans apply for work visas or replace their passports. In addition, it assists with legal matters such as marriage or divorce. It also helps with financial matters such as opening bank accounts or sending money abroad.

The Consulate General is also responsible for promoting economic opportunities between Mexico and Houston. It works closely with local companies that are looking to build a presence in Mexico. It has also helped secure large investments by Mexican companies in the city.

In addition, the consulate offers help for Mexicans who are in trouble. It can help them find lawyers and even contact family members in Mexico for assistance. This is important because the Mexican government takes legal issues seriously and wants to make sure that their citizens are safe. The consulate also holds health fairs that offer free mammograms, vaccinations, and diabetes and cholesterol tests.

Contact information

The Consulate of Mexico in Houston is one of the most important diplomatic missions in North America, as it serves two million people of Mexican origin. It is also the largest foreign government office in Houston. Therefore, it was necessary to move the consulate to a larger facility. The new location is located at 3200 Rogerdale Road in the Westchase area of Houston.

The new building is 50,000 square feet, which makes it twice as large as the previous location. In addition, it features on-site parking and several areas to serve the public.

Depending on the type of visa you are applying for, you may have to schedule an appointment or interview at the consulate. It is important to arrive on time and bring the required documents. Typically, you will need proof of identity and address, as well as a letter from your doctor stating that you are healthy. You will also need to pay a fee in the form of a money order.

Visas

The consulate offers numerous visas to help travelers travel to Mexico. These include visas for visitors and immigrants. It also plays a role in an exchange program sponsored by the Mexican government. In order to submit your travel documents, you must schedule an appointment or interview at the consulate if you are applying for a paper visa. If you are applying for an e-visa, it is not necessary to visit the consulate.

The new location is in the Westchase area and has a parking lot. It is much more convenient than the old building in Midtown Houston. It has a bus stop nearby and is accessible by public transit.

The consulate’s website has information on standard processes, including passport renewals, matricula consular, marriage licenses, and registration of births. It also has a list of required documents for each process. Applicants should provide a certified copy of their birth certificate and proof of identity, such as a driver’s license or passport.
